#EBW24 previews: State-of-the-art speaker for ‘The road towards ISO 20387 accreditation’

We are very pleased to confirm the state-of-the-art speaker for the panel session: ‘The road towards ISO 20387 accreditation’. Dr. Lila Kallio from Auria Biobank will be leading this session and we profile her biography here. The session takes place on Wednesday 15 May 2024 as part of the EBW24 programme.

Dr. Lila Kallio

Lila Kallio, PhD, is the Director of Auria Biobank in Turku, Finland. Lila has academic background in molecular cancer research and several years of experience in preclinical R&D in pharma industry. She has also been working in business development tasks related to molecular diagnostics and digital health, before joining Auria Biobank in 2015. Lila is dedicated to promotion of biobanking and is actively involved in national and international networks. Auria Biobank is the first clinical biobank in Finland. During its ten years of operation, Auria has provided high quality samples and related clinical data for approximately 300 biobank studies. Auria has achieved the ISO 20387:2020 accreditation for human material biobanking in 2022.
